The Officers Meeting has happened and here are the updates for the coming season:
First, we are going to add some new prizes for the end of the year (in the form of certificates). The following categories will be voted on near the end of the year, and the winners will, well... win!
1) High score on Hole #15 Award. Obviously this will not be voted on, but we can track it easily. Last years winner would've been Mike Sr. with an 11 if I am not mistaken.
2) Tear Drop Award. This will be voted on, and will be for the biggest cry baby of the season. Perhaps some wine and cheese is in order...
3) Moneyball Award. This will be an award for the person who wins the most prize money. I think that this person should probably be buyin' at the end of season banquet.
4) The Flying Club Award. Pat? Where's Pat? Ya already got it in the bag buddy! Ok, so everybody needs to keep a lookout for any thrown clubs. This includes the throwing of an entire bag of clubs...
5) AARP Award. This is for the league's oldest player. Obviously this will not change from year to year unless we have a lot of heart attacks going on, but this person should be honored.
For the mid season event, we are going to put a little spin on the game: It will be a 4 man scrambles, but Holes 1, 4, and 7 will be played from the middle tees, Holes 2, 5, and 8 will be played from the back tees, and Holes 3, 6, and 9 will be played from the front tees. Substitute the proper hole numbers if we are on the back.
The last night will be Stableford play, as usual, while the Championship Match is being played.
Our end of season event and banquet will be Sept. 22nd - this date is not firm yet.
League apps will be posted on this site within the next week or so, so start watching here a little more frequently as we get things kicked off. As always, if you know of anyone that is wanting to be on a league, let me know asap! I believe Russ is once again looking for a partner, so we need to pick up a new player for him.
More soon.

Love it. We need to think of some more.
The room was full of pregnant women with their husbands. The instructor
