Pre-season updates

Greetings all.
I have some updates on the league, and most of this is not good (as a matter of fact, none of it is). I'll try to keep this brief and to the point.

1) The course is in the process of changing our starting course, which means our schedule will be adjusted. I will post the new one as soon as I get it made up. Our starting date and time has not changed.

2) I have not had any luck recruting any new teams.

3) We have had two more people drop out for the season. Bob Cline and Jim Wilcox were going to be partners because Wes was not going to play this year. They have both dropped off the league for this year.

A) Bob Cline had an accident with a piece of machinery and nearly lost a hand. I am still kind of sketchy on the details, but he has decided to heal this summer.

B) With the permission of Jim, I am sorry to announce that Jim has lymphoma cancer. He has been on chemo and treatments for several weeks. Jim has had this since last summer, but has chosen not to let anyone know until now. Please keep Jim in your prayers, and I will update as I know more. He is fighting this to the best of his ability, and he believes he may be able to sub later in the season.

4) This brings us to an even number of people and teams - 16 people/8 teams. I will adjust the schedule, and post shortly as I said.

I know that none of this is good, but lets have a good season. See you in a few weeks.
